Date: 2020.05.18

From: The NUK COVID-19 Response Task Force

Subject: An update on the guidance of advisor/advisee activities at NUK during the COVID-19 pandemic

Based on the committee meeting of the NUK COVID-19 Response Task Force on May 15, 2020, the guidance of advisor/advisee activities at NUK during the COVID-19 pandemic has been amended and is given below:

  1. It is acceptable for advisors to use the advisor/advisee activity fee for dining together with students now. Additionally, all the faculty members feel free to be invited to attend the teacher appreciation banquet.
  2. If you have such activities with your advisee, please follow the instruction below: If you want to arrange a party, it is recommended to choose a more spacious dining space. The distance between the tables is more than 1.5 meters, or there are restaurants with partitions and combination meals on the tables. If the restaurant does not provide a set menu, please distinguish between using your own tableware and public tableware, or ask the waiter to allocate the amount of food per person. Avoid speaking up close when eating, and wear a mask when speaking.
  3. When the advisor and advisee hold such activities together, please follow the guidelines for large-scale public gatherings by CDC announcement on April 22.
  4. If you have any questions, please connect the NUK COVID-19 Response Task Force directly. (Phone number: (07) 591-9019)
